Soapy Joe’s App Sweepstakes Official Rules
NO PURCHASE, PAYMENT, MEMBERSHIP OR APP DOWNLOAD IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE, PAYMENT, MEMBERSHIP OR APP DOWNLOAD WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
One entry per person for the entire Sweepstakes, regardless of entry method. Nonwinning entries carry forward into all remaining weekly drawings, subject to these Official Rules. Limit one prize per person. By participating, entrants agree to these Official Rules. Void outside California and where prohibited by law.
1 Sponsor and administration
The Soapy Joe’s App Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is sponsored by Soapy Joe’s, Inc., located at 11465 Woodside Avenue, Santee, CA 92071 (“Sponsor”). Sponsor’s Marketing Team will administer the Sweepstakes, conduct the random drawings, contact potential winners and deliver prizes. Sweepstakes questions may be directed to [email protected].
2 Eligibility
The Sweepstakes is open to natural persons who are legal residents of California and at least 18 years old at the time of entry. Employees, officers and directors of Sponsor, its affiliated Soapy Joe’s companies, and agencies or vendors directly involved in administering this Sweepstakes, and members of their households, are not eligible. A household member is a person who shares the same residence, whether or not related. Eligibility is subject to verification before a prize is awarded.
3 Sweepstakes period and weekly cutoffs
The Sweepstakes begins on October 27, 2026, at 12:00 a.m. Pacific Time (“PT”) and ends on April 4, 2027, at 11:59:59 p.m. PT (the “Sweepstakes Period”). PT means Pacific Standard Time or Pacific Daylight Time, as applicable. Sponsor’s designated entry systems are the official timekeeping devices.
There will be 23 weekly drawings. The first entry cutoff is November 1, 2026 at 11:59:59 p.m. PT. Each subsequent cutoff is the following Sunday at 11:59:59 p.m. PT through April 4, 2027. The complete schedule is in Schedule A. An eligible entry first received after a weekly cutoff will become eligible for the next drawing and all remaining drawings. Entries first received after the Sweepstakes Period ends are not eligible.
4 How to enter
Eligible persons may enter through either method below. Both methods provide one entry into the same drawing pool, subject to the same cutoffs, carryover rules and odds. The alternate entry method is open throughout the Sweepstakes Period and does not require a purchase, membership, app download, migration or visit to a Soapy Joe’s location.
A. Member app migration. During the Sweepstakes Period, an eligible Soapy Joe’s member may download the My Soapy Joe’s app and successfully migrate their existing membership by following the in-app instructions. The member will automatically receive one entry when migration is successfully recorded in AMP. AMP is the system of record for completed migrations. Sponsor will use the member’s name, email address and phone number associated with the migrated account to administer the entry. Members should ensure that this information is accurate and current. Downloading the app without successfully migrating a membership does not create an entry through this method.
B. Free online alternate entry. During the Sweepstakes Period, visit https://soapyjoescarwash.com/grocerygiveawayappdownload and complete and submit the free Sweepstakes entry form with your full name, email address and phone number. Confirm that you meet the eligibility requirements and agree to these Official Rules. You will receive one entry when the completed form is successfully received. This method is available to everyone who meets the eligibility requirements, including nonmembers, members who prefer not to use the app, and members who downloaded the app or migrated before the Sweepstakes Period. No payment information is required.
Membership tier does not affect eligibility or odds. After a valid entry is received, cancelling or allowing a membership to expire, deleting the app, or ceasing to use it does not invalidate the entry or affect its carryover or odds. No Instagram account, follow, like, share, tag or other social media activity is required.
5 Entry limit and carryover
Limit one entry per person for the entire Sweepstakes Period across both entry methods, accounts, memberships, vehicles, email addresses and phone numbers. Sponsor will combine the AMP and alternate-entry records and remove duplicates. If a person submits more than one otherwise valid entry, only the earliest valid entry will be retained. An inadvertent duplicate does not by itself disqualify that person. Sponsor may request reasonable information to resolve a duplicate or verify identity; a shared household phone number alone does not establish that two people are the same entrant.
Your entry is included in the first drawing for which it is received by the applicable cutoff and automatically carries forward into every remaining weekly drawing unless you win, withdraw your entry or become disqualified under these Official Rules. To withdraw, contact Sponsor at the email address in Section 1. No weekly re-entry is necessary or permitted. Entering through both methods, making additional purchases, upgrading a membership, downloading the app again or migrating additional memberships does not provide additional entries. A verified winner is removed from all later drawings and may not win again.
Entries must contain accurate information and be submitted by the entrant. Automated, bulk, fraudulent or fictitious entries are prohibited. Sponsor may disqualify a person who deliberately circumvents the entry limit or interferes with the fair operation of the Sweepstakes. Proof of attempting to enter is not proof that an entry was received. If an AMP or form error prevents entry, the free online entry method may be used, subject to the overall entry limit.
6 Drawings and odds
On each Monday listed in Schedule A, Sponsor’s Marketing Team will randomly select one potential winner from all eligible entries received by the preceding Sunday cutoff, including eligible entries carried forward from earlier weeks. Drawings will be conducted by 12:00 p.m. (noon) PT on each scheduled Monday. All eligible entries in a particular drawing will have an equal chance of selection, regardless of entry method or membership status. Odds depend on the number of eligible entries in that drawing. Earlier entry provides eligibility for more weekly drawings, on the same basis for both entry methods.
Selection does not establish a right to a prize until eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules have been verified. If a potential winner is awaiting verification when a later drawing occurs, their entry will be held out of that drawing. If the earlier prize is forfeited solely because the person does not respond, their otherwise eligible entry will return to subsequent drawings that have not yet occurred. A person found ineligible or disqualified will be removed.
7 Winner notification and verification
Sponsor will attempt to contact each potential winner on the Monday of the drawing by both email and phone using the information associated with the entry. The potential winner must respond within 24 hours after the initial email notification is sent. Sponsor will identify that deadline in the notification. A phone attempt alone will not shorten the response period. An alternate potential winner will receive the same 24-hour response period, measured from their initial email notification.
Sponsor may request reasonable evidence of identity, age and California residency and an eligibility declaration. Any requested verification documents must be returned within three business days after the request. Tax documentation will be requested only if required by applicable law. Sponsor will provide a secure method for submitting sensitive documents and will never require payment to claim a prize.
If a potential winner does not respond within the applicable deadline, cannot be contacted because the supplied contact information is invalid, declines the prize, fails to complete required verification or is ineligible, that person forfeits the prize for that drawing. Sponsor will randomly select an alternate from the remaining eligible entries in the same drawing pool, excluding persons who already forfeited that week’s prize and prior verified winners. Sponsor will repeat this process as necessary while eligible entrants remain. An unclaimed prize will not be added to a later drawing or awarded to an ineligible person.
Sponsor intends to announce each verified winner on Instagram on Wednesday following the drawing using the winner’s first name and last initial. Announcement may be delayed if verification or alternate selection is not complete. The announcement is not the method of notifying a potential winner and does not change any response deadline.
8 Prizes and delivery
There are 23 weekly prizes, each with a total face value and approximate retail value of US$500. Total approximate retail value of all prizes is US$11,500. One prize is allocated to each scheduled drawing. Limit one weekly prize per person for the entire Sweepstakes, regardless of the number of gift cards included in that prize.
Each weekly prize consists of two Albertsons Companies digital gift cards with a face value of US$250 each, for a combined value of US$500, redeemable at participating Albertsons Companies stores, including Vons. Sponsor will email the digital gift card or cards, or secure redemption links, to each verified winner at the confirmed email address within 14 days after verification. A winner must have access to an email account to receive the digital prize. No paid Soapy Joe’s membership, app installation or marketing subscription is required to receive or use the prize.
Use of each gift card is subject to the issuer’s applicable terms, redemption restrictions and participating-location requirements, which will be provided with the prize. The prize consists of gift cards and is not a cash payment or a guarantee that every item or shopping channel is eligible for redemption. No cash alternative or transfer of the prize before delivery is permitted, except where required by law. If the specified prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control, Sponsor may substitute one or more grocery gift cards with a combined value equal to or greater than US$500. Sponsor will not charge a winner any fee for prize delivery. Winners are responsible for applicable taxes; Sponsor will comply with any legally required reporting or withholding.
Albertsons Companies gift cards are issued by Safeway Gift Cards, LLC. They may be used for merchandise purchases at participating stores, including Albertsons, Vons and Pavilions, and may not be used for non-merchandise purchases such as other gift cards, money orders or transfers, or lottery purchases. Cards do not expire and have no fees. They may be used until the balance is depleted and are not redeemable for cash except where required by law. Lost or stolen card funds are not replaced under the issuer’s terms. To redeem a digital card in store, present its QR code in printed form or on a mobile device. Issuer terms are available at https://albertsons.thegiftcardshop.com/alb-everyday-email.
9 Privacy and winner information
Sponsor will use entry and verification information to administer the Sweepstakes, prevent duplicate or fraudulent entries, contact potential winners, deliver prizes, maintain records and comply with law, as described in Sponsor’s Privacy Policy at https://soapyjoescarwash.com/privacy-policy/. Entry is not consent to receive marketing emails, text messages or calls. Any request for marketing consent must be separate and optional, and declining or withdrawing that consent does not affect eligibility or odds. Sweepstakes administration communications are separate from promotional messages.
By accepting a prize, a winner permits Sponsor to identify them by first name and last initial in the Sweepstakes winner announcement and winners list. Sponsor will obtain separate consent before using a winner’s full name, photograph, likeness, testimonial or other personal information for additional publicity. No purchase or membership details will be included in the announcement. To request a winners list, email [email protected] with the subject “App Sweepstakes Winners List” by June 4, 2027. The list will be provided after all winners have been verified.
10 Fair administration and technical problems
Sponsor may investigate entries and verify compliance with these Official Rules. Decisions concerning eligibility, duplicate entries, drawings and prize awards will be made reasonably, consistently with these Official Rules and applicable law. Sponsor may disqualify persons who engage in fraud, tampering, harassment or deliberate interference with the Sweepstakes.
If a technical failure, fraud, natural disaster or other event beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control materially compromises the integrity or fair administration of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor may suspend an affected entry method or drawing for the time reasonably needed to address the problem. Sponsor will post material updates at the Sweepstakes landing page, preserve valid entries and avoid disadvantaging either entry method. If resumption is not reasonably possible, Sponsor may terminate the affected portion and, to the extent lawful and practicable, award the remaining allocated prizes by random drawings from eligible, unaffected entries received before the disruption. This provision does not authorize a discretionary extension, reduction of prize values or change in odds to favor purchasers or members.
To the extent permitted by law, Sponsor is not responsible for delays or failures outside its reasonable control in internet connections, devices, email delivery or third-party systems. Nothing in these Official Rules releases or limits liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or limits any nonwaivable consumer right.
11 Governing law and disputes
California law governs these Official Rules and the Sweepstakes, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles and subject to applicable federal law. Subject to any nonwaivable right to proceed elsewhere, disputes concerning this Sweepstakes may be brought in state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California, including an appropriate small claims court. These Official Rules do not require arbitration or waive class actions. Entry into this Sweepstakes does not incorporate the Soapy Joe’s membership agreement or its dispute-resolution provisions into these Official Rules.
If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective to the extent the Sweepstakes can be administered fairly and lawfully. These Official Rules govern the Sweepstakes; promotional summaries do not alter them. No provision permits Sponsor to disregard a legally binding promise made in its advertising.
12 Independent brands and platforms
Albertsons Companies, including Vons, and their affiliates are not sponsors or administrators of this Sweepstakes and do not endorse it. Instagram, Meta, Apple and Google are not sponsors or administrators and are not associated with this Sweepstakes. Their names and marks belong to their respective owners. To the extent permitted by law, entrants release Instagram from claims arising from Sponsor’s administration of this Sweepstakes; this does not waive claims based on Instagram’s own conduct or any nonwaivable right.
