Did you know that in San Diego, six women a day are diagnosed with breast cancer? That’s six too many.
Soapy Joe’s car wash is proud to play its part in the fight against breast cancer by helping to fund breakthrough research, quality care, and public awareness. We are honored to serve as the Main Stage sponsor of the 2023 Komen San Diego More Than Pink Walk. Please join us on Sunday, November 5th, 2023, at Balboa Park to participate in the Susan G. Komen More Than Pink Walk.
This will be our 6th year sponsoring the event, a local gathering that contributes to a national and global movement aimed at ending breast cancer. It’s the perfect combination of supporting our community and participating in a national and global movement, simultaneously. Susan G. Komen San Diego focuses specifically on San Diego County to identify gaps in breast cancer care, barriers to health access, and unmet needs. By supporting the organization through the More Than Pink Walk, Soapy Joe’s Car Wash is making an impact in the local community by not only raising funds but also raising awareness.
The San Diego More Than Pink Walk is filled with pride, hope and encouragement. In addition to participating in the run/walk itself, we’re planning to bring some Good clean fun to the day’s festivities, including:
- Pink air fresheners
- Pink Soapy Joe’s Car Wash Hair Scrunchies
- Bubbles for Boobies T-shirt – portion of the proceeds will be donated to Susan G. Komen
- Free car wash coupons
- Photos with our mascot, Soapy Joe
- Virtual Soapy Augmented Reality Game – Guests will be able to scan and play this virtual game! Help Soapy pop as many bubbles as you can! Once you’ve completed the game, list your score on the webpage and $2 from each score listed will go to Susan G. Komen!
The 2023 Komen San Diego More Than Pink Walk has already raised more than $100,000 dollars in fundraising toward Susan G. Komen’s goal of reducing the current number of breast cancer deaths by 50 percent in the U.S. by 2026. We hope you will join us in this 5K, or 1-mile walk through beautiful Balboa Park on the morning of Sunday, Nov. 5th.
