Rise & Shine! It’s Race Time.
San Diego, Calif. (Nov. 14, 2017) – Soapy Joe’s Car Wash was More Than Pink last month in support of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, and for the fight against breast cancer. As a sponsor of Susan G. Komen San Diego’s Race for the Cure, Soapy Joe’s promoted the event, as well as hosted a booth at Balboa Park where were be able to win prizes such as “Love your Bubbles” shirts and bags, and special edition pink air fresheners.
Leading up to the event, the Soapy Joe’s team wore their “Love Your Bubbles” pink shirts, handed out special edition Susan G. Komen-Soapy Joe’s air fresheners with washes purchased, and had a “Proud in Pink” Snapchat filter at the National City location through October. All of this was in preparation for the Race for Cure on Nov. 5 at Balboa Park in San Diego, Calif. As a proud partner, the Soapy Joe’s team was onsite all day, supporting the fight against breast cancer, and encouraging participants along the way.
Susan G. Komen San Diego hosts the 5K and 1 mile walk/run annually to not only raise funds for the fight against breast cancer, but also to celebrate survivors, and honor those who have lost their battle. Proceeds from the event help the organization cover costs for mammograms, research, food assistance, transportation to and from treatment, temporary financial assistance, diagnostics, patient navigation, and intensive care coordination.
