Showing Our Support for the 2018 Komen San Diego Race for the Cure
In San Diego, six women a day are diagnosed with breast cancer. Soapy Joe’s is helping Susan G. Komen fund breakthrough breast cancer research, quality care and public awareness by serving as the Main Stage sponsor of the 2018 Komen San Diego Race for the Cure on Sunday, Nov. 4 in Balboa Park.
Ongoing Partnership
We are proud to be in our third year sponsoring our local Race for the Cure event, one of many across the U.S. that have combined to contribute more than $2 billion to pursue Komen’s mission of ending breast cancer. It’s the perfect combination of supporting our community and participating in a national and global movement, simultaneously. Susan G. Komen San Diego specifically studies San Diego County to identify gaps in breast cancer care, barriers to health access and unmet needs.
Uplifting Presence
The San Diego Race for the Cure is filled with pride, hope and encouragement. In addition to participating in the run/walk itself, we’re planning to bring some Good clean fun to the day’s festivities, including:
More Than Pink
The 2018 Komen San Diego Race for the Cure has already raised more than $500,000 dollars in fundraising toward Susan G. Komen’s goal of reducing the current number of breast cancer deaths by 50 percent in the U.S. by 2026. We hope you will join us in this 5K or 1-mile walk through beautiful Balboa Park on the morning of Sunday, Nov. 4.
