Soapy Joe’s car wash is a locally loved and family-owned self-service car wash in San Diego, that hosts its annual Soapy Joe’s Day on Thursday, April 20, offering the entire San Diego community FREE Magic Joe car washes. As a running tradition in its 8th year, the third Thursday of April has been dubbed Soapy Joe’s Day, as proclaimed by sitting mayors starting in 2016 with Faulkner, to Gloria in 2021, to Councilmember Raul A. Campillo in 2021, and this year presented by Chairwoman Nora Vargas.
Each year, Soapy Joe’s celebrates its eco-friendly practices and provides free top-of-the-line washes to the community.
Soapy Joe’s Day is open to the San Diego community and is completely free of charge. The free $20 Magic Joe washes will begin at 7:00 am and end at 9:00 pm. Attendees must register in advance of the event online to receive a barcode. The barcode can be redeemed at any of the 19 Soapy Joe’s locations on Thursday, April 20.
