Soapy Joe’s is deeply committed to making a difference—not just in the cars we wash, but also in the communities we serve. November 2018 was an eventful month for our team as we participated in:

Komen San Diego Race for the Cure

20 volunteers from our staff made for Soapy Joe’s best turnout yet in the Komen San Diego Race for the Cure. 2018 was our third year sponsoring the event, one of many across the U.S. that have combined to contribute more than $2 billion to pursue Komen’s mission of ending breast cancer. Thank you to everyone who attended, and to the Geico Gecko and other mascots for the dance-off. Soapy says see you all next year.

SDSU Football

The Aztecs had a tough loss against division rival UNLV after the Rebels stormed back with a fourth quarter rally. Not how we wanted to see the home team close out Soapy Joe’s sponsorship appearances for the 2018 football season, but we still had a fun time at our booth outside the stadium.

Free Car Washes for Veterans Day

What an honor: We gave out thousands of free car washes and thousands more of our camo-themed air fresheners for Veterans Day. Soapy Joe’s has also partnered with Clever Talks, a non-profit committed to inspiring and empowering active-duty military members and veterans across the U.S., to give fans the chance to win VIP all-access tickets to an event next spring! Enter the contest (we hope you’ll donate to Clever Talks, too) here.
